Battery Specialties was founded by Jerry Kanen in 1969 based on his perception of the need for a primary battery distribution company with a total customer service orientation. This was received very well by the business community and we expanded into the secondary battery market as well. For over 50 years Battery Specialties has been a leader in battery distribution and manufacturing.
Based in beautiful Costa Mesa in Orange County, California we occupy a sprawling 15,000 square foot ultra-modern facility where we carry product lines from the top brands and maintain an extensive battery design and assembly operation.
We have strict quality standards for the batteries we choose to distribute and that is why we carry only products from companies that meet our standards in alkaline, sealed lead, lithium, nicad, and nimh. We've been a Duracell distributor since it was the P.R. Mallory Co. in 1969, the same for Energizer, which was the Eveready Battery Co. Battery Specialties began distributing Saft/Arts Energy and Enersys in the mid-80's. We began distributing for Power-Sonic in the early 90's.
